Videos AND Photos are now being served from the US and EU

We've decided to expand the succesful trial of hosting video on servers in North America and Western Europe by serving out photos from these locations as well. For users in North America, Europe and South Africa this should improve your download speeds for both video and photos.

If you experience any problems, please let us know.

No More Watermarks

Going forward, photos will no longer include the Dudes Off Campus logo. The watermark was a holdover from long ago and we've decided to discontinue it for your viewing pleasure!

Video Feed Changes

You voted and we listened! We're replacing the following feeds with new ones: Dick Show, Twinks Elite, Young Elite, Gay Elite, Gay Movie Of The Week. We'll be transitioning the feeds off and replacing them through May 1st.

As with the existing feeds, you'll be able to rate the new feeds and if they're not up to snuff, they'll be replaced as well.

As we introduce the new feeds, we'll post announcements on the DOC home page.

Retro and Vintage Pic Category

After several requests this week, we're happy to introduce a new category for Retro and Vintage pix. For some of us too young to remember pix like this, all I can say is: yum! Hope you all enjoy the new category as well.

Duplicate Photo Removal

Over the weekend, the new automated duplicate removal system found and removed approximately 5% of the photos in the gallery. Going forward, this process will run automatically 4 times an hour to remove any new duplicates that make it into the system.

As with the mass removal, when a duplicate is detected, any existing views, votes, comments and favorites assignments will migrate to the original photo before the duplicate is removed.

The system cannot yet detect 100% of the duplicates but is a significant improvement in maintaining the integrity of the gallery. Please continue to report duplicates so we can investigate why the automated system failed to catch them.

DOC User Needs Our Help

One of our users is suffering with late stage non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is desperately in need of assistance to keep up with the cost of his medical treatment. If you've never been, you don't know what you're missing! Southern Decadence in New Orleans is better than ever and helps New Orleans with much needed cash. We'll be there for Labor Day to show our support and hope you will too!

Missing photos or video?

If you notice a recently approved photo or video seems to be missing, just give it 15 minutes or so as they need to replicate to the US and EU server farms.

Price Changes

Last November our hosting, bandwidth, energy, insurance and other related charges came up for renewal which resulted in a rather large increase in our expenses. We've absorbed these until now but will soon implement modest price increases to offset these expenses.

NOTE: THIS WILL ONLY AFFECT NON-RECURRING, INTERRUPTED AND NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS. If you have an active recurring membership, you'll lock in today's price for the next year.
